Monday, March 14th, 2011

The officers of United Kingdom’s travel industry have joined their hands and are fighting for keeping a fair tax on the Flying Group. This includes officer of the Airlines like Virgin Airlines, BMI Airlines, British Airways, Thomas Cook, Monarch Airways, and many other operators and officials. The customers and the officers are all suffering from the hike of the tax and are urging the government to lay down the charges of the tax to comfort both the government and the local people both.

‘Fair Tax on Flying’ campaign aims to bring down The Air Passenger Duty (APD) Tax to an optimum range that is feasible to all. The APD tax was incorporated in 1994 since then a high pace of increase is seen in the annual revenue just by the tax. Mark Tanzer said this campaign is forcing the Chancellor to take a lead from the Irish government rather increasing the air Taxes and help the industry and the people both to work and enhance the tourism and travel sector to lead with steps of success.

The sufferers are the holiday vacationers and the business travelers who have to pay such a high increase amount of tax and left with nothing. They will seek to the other options for traveling but the government should think about it and lay down the levy taxes on the flying group. The APD tax is day by day is threatening to the tourism sector and ultimately to the economy of the country. Because people don’t want to pay such a heavy duty tax and so they will apply their other solutions or alternatives to travel but cant bear such a heavy duty tax on Flying.
